Runco Announces New LightStyle Series
Runco is a market leader in state-of-the-art projection system, flat-panel plasma monitors, video processors, and other components for customer consumer market. Today, the company has announced three new projectors that will form their latest LightStyle series, the LS-3, LS-5, and LS-7. All of these projectors share the same round design as well as DLP display technology. They also share the same connection panel, which includes dual HDMI ports, a component, s-video, RGB, and a composite connection. Because these projectors are designed for high-end home theaters, there are no speaker or audio connections. Runco expects these projectors to release in November.
The LS-3 is the first and smallest of the projectors. This model comes with full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 1000 ANSI lumens and a 10000:1 contrast ratio. Runco has also fitted this model with an extra long lasting lamp that has a 4000 hour lamp life. This projector will retail for just under $5000.
Next is the LS-5, which is a little better, featuring 1000 ANSI lumens, a 15000:1 contrast ratio, and the same HD (1920 x 1080) resolution as the LS-3. The bigger contrast ratio allows the projector display even more detail and darker black levels. The LS-5 is set to retail for $6995.
Lastly is the LS-7, which comes with a lesser HD (1280 x 720) resolution, but also 2000 ANSI lumens, and a 10000:1 contrast ratio. The added brightness allows this projector to shine even in moderately lit room. This allows the users to either enjoy the movie or do something else while they watch. The LS-7 is unfortunately the most expensive from the three, retailing for $15495.
