Microvision Releases SHOW WX Projector
Microvision has been teasing the projector industry for months about their SHOW WX pico projector. Today, the company has finally announced that this miniature device is finally available. This projector is one of the first models to features laser display technology and it is capable of displaying 10 ANSI lumens, a WVGA (848 x 480) resolution, and an impressive 5000:1 contrast ratio. The laser display technology uses three different lasers; one red, one green, and one blue. By combining the lasers through the display panel the projector is able to produce a more vibrant and clear picture than the conventional LED lamp system. The best feature about the laser display technology is that it never needs focusing, which means you can display the picture on any wall, ceiling, or floor and always have the same amazing picture. Also because the display technology is smaller than LED systems, the projector is only half an inch thick and can fit anywhere a cell phone can. Microvision is retailing the SHOW WX projector for $499.
