Barco Uses 9 Sim 7D Projectors for Mini-Dome Simulators
Barco is proud to announce that they have recently installed two new SEER mini-domes for Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training, and Support. The simulator domes will be used for basic flight training and will allow pilots to use the Pilatus PC-21 Basic Wing Course trainer program. The impressive aspect is that each dome is fitted with nine Barco Sim 7D projectors. The Sim 7D is one of Barco’s best simulation projectors and features 2K (2048 x 1536) resolution, LCoS display technology and a staggering 2000000:1 contrast ratio. The projectors also come with a smearing reduction option that is perfect for clearing the fast pace images that take place simulation uses. Both domes are currently positions at the Royal Australian Air Force Base in Pearce Australia.
