The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 6500 UB projector is one of the company’s best home theater models. This projector features 1600 ANSI lumens, a 75000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. Today, Crunch Gear released their review of the projector after a few weeks of enjoying what it has to offer. The writers were amazed with the quality and power the 6500 UB has to offer. They also enjoyed the dual HDMI ports, composite, component, s-video, and VGA inputs that came with the connection panel. The writer thought that yes this is by far an incredibly powerful home theater projector, but they also thought that maybe it was too much. They first started by stating that the projector was too big and had difficulty finding a proper place for the projector during the review. They also thought that the 1600 ANSI lumen brightness was probably intended for larger home theater and was really suitable for smaller theaters. Another thing that the writer complained about was that there was no internal speaker system. This means that if you want to listen to audio then you will need to buy a separate speaker system. But Epson designed this projector for high-end home theater, which means their usually already is an audio system in place. The bottom line that the writer made was, ‘Overall, however, I’m totally down with a $3,000 1080p projector, especially with HDMI in. It’s cheap enough to look into as a TV replacement and it’s sharp enough to warrant a long look.’
