Hitachi markets LCD projectors, interactive panels and whiteboards and security observation system products through value added resellers, system integrators, distributors and OEM. Today, the company announced the USA release of their CP-RX80 projector. The RX80 is capable of displaying a 400:1 contrast ratio, a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, and 2200 ANSI lumens. Hitachi designed this projector to run for long periods in order to reduce maintenance time and the cost of ownership. For starters, the RX80 has an extended lamp life that lasts for 6000 hours. The lamp is matched with a high-efficiency air filter system that only needs cleaning when you change the lamp. In addition, Hitachi has loaded the RX80 with a variety of features like closed captioning, whiteboard/blackboard modes, template function and instant on/off settings. The CP-RX80 is currently available through Hitachi certified retailers, but the price has not been released.
