The Samsung SM-P410M is the company’s latest pocket projector. This model features a 1000:1 contrast ratio, SVGA (800 x 600) resolution, and 170 ANSI lumens. Recently, PC World got to get an up close look at this projector. The P410M is one of the bigger pocket projectors that they have tested. The projector measures 5.8’ x 2.6’ x 5.7’ (W x H x D) and only weights 2.1 lbs. One of the features the writers liked was the internal media player that could be used by connecting a flash drive into the USB reader slot. This feature allowed the projector to display content with out external cable connections. The only concern that the writers mentioned was that sometimes the colors would look oversaturated and look greener or redder than the original image looked like. The writers’ verdict was, ‘The Samsung SP- P410M is best suited for small-group presentations, in rooms where you can control the lighting to ensure that the screen is as viewable as possible. And even though it isn’t cheap, its stand-alone ability to play PC-free presentations makes it most appealing to businesspeople who want to travel as light as possible.’
