JVC Releases DLA-HD550 and DLA-HD950 Projectors
Back in September, you may have read about JVC announcing their new DLA-HD550 and DLA-HD950 projector. Recently, the company has announced the release of these projectors. The HD550 is the lesser of the two, but still powerful in its own right, the projector features 1000 ANSI lumens and a 30000:1 contrast ratio. The HD950 is even more stunning with 900 ANSI lumens and a 50000:1 contrast ratio. Both models also feature full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and the latest in 3-chip D-ILA display technology. Another feature these projectors share is the connection panel that comes with dual HDMI ports, a component, composite, s-video, and a RGB port. The HD950 also comes with a 12V trigger for automatic lighting, motorized screens, or projector lifts. To enhance the movie experience, JVC has designed both projectors to be extra quiet with a 19 dB noise level. The HD550 and HD950 are currently available in Japan and are quickly making their way worldwide. They are expected to retail for the suggested retail price of $5000 and $8000, respectively.
