Dell M109S Projector Review

The Dell M109S has been out for almost a year now. This pocket projector features 50 ANSI lumens, an 800:1 contrast ratio, and SVGA (858 x 600) resolution. Recently, PC World reviewed this projector to see how well the LED lamp system handled. The first comment the writers stated was that the low brightness is only ideal for small groups and rooms that can be almost pitch black. The writers were impressed with the weight and small size of the device. Even with the needed accessories the projector weights less than 2 lbs, this makes it incredibly portable. The writers were not impressed with the low contrast and overall performance. They thought that is severally lacked when compared to other similar projectors. Their final thought was, ‘All in all, it’s difficult to recommend the Dell M109S for mobile presentations when for just $50 more you can have a slightly larger LED projector that’s twice as bright, provides better image quality, and has more features (including a remote and a built-in speaker). However, Dell frequently offers this product at a reduced price when you purchase it online, and that could make the M109S a much better deal for economy-minded mobile users who do small-group meetings or one-on-one presentations.’
