Barco Supplies DP-1500 Projectors for Colombia
Barco and Cine Colombia S.A. announced today that Barco will be supplying 20 DP-1500 digital projector systems through out Colombia. The projectors will bring 3D content to the theater as well as be able to play regular 2D content as well. The DP-1500 features the latest in DLP display technology, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and 2K HD (2048 x 1080) resolution. ‘We’re honored to again be working closely with Colombia’s largest exhibitor, and helping them expands the magic of digital cinema throughout the world’s third largest Spanish-speaking country,’ said Scott Freidberg, Barco’s Vice President of Sales for Digital Cinema, NA. ‘Cine Colombia has truly recognized both the success and the investments that Barco has created in Latin America, and by their actions, it’s evident that they choose only the finest partners.
