Earlier this year, Sharp announced their PG-D4010X projector. This model features 4200 ANSI lumens, a 2500:1 contrast ratio, and a XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. Recently, Sharp has released this projector in Australia. The main features about this projector all focus to make this projector as low maintenance as possible. The D4010X features a sealed DLP display system, which will prevent dust, dirt, and smoke from entering and damaging the main parts of the optic system. In addition, the projector comes with a 3000 hour lamp life and is also filter free, which means less maintenance checks that ultimately saves time and money. The D4010X is designed for boardrooms and classrooms and comes with a wide variety of connections like DVI, RGB, s-video, composite, and several audio ports. There is also a USB port for quick and easy control and a LAN port for network capabilities. Sharp is currently selling the D4010X through certified retailers for just under $3300.
