Sanyo PLV-Z3000 Projector Review

One of the latest home theater projectors to come from Sanyo is the PLV-Z3000. This model has 1200 ANSI lumens, full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, and a 65000:1 contrast ratio. Today, the writers from Expert Reviews released their findings on this projector. The first thing they mention is that the Z3000 is ugly. The grey chassis and boxy design is not pretty, but at least it is built to last a long time. The writers also think that the remote control is ugly, but useful because it has everything clearly labeled and it has a backlight. After setting up the projector, the writers were happy to see an easy to use menu and several pre-set modes. The problem though is that none of the modes looked perfect on their screen. Fortunately though, the projector does have color, contrast, and brightness settings in order to tweak the image. The image quality was well balanced for the most part. The only concern was that some of the colors did not look as good as the others. The final comment the writer made was, ‘The Z3000 has more options than many more expensive projectors. Its colors aren’t the most vivid we’ve seen, but were generally pleased by its intense blacks and balanced color.’
