Barco Uses 18 Projector To Create US Navy Submarine Simulator
Barco is a global technology company that designs and develops visualization products for a variety of selected professional markets. Today, the company announced that they have used an array of SIM 5R and SIM 5W projectors to create the USA Navy’s most advanced submarine simulator. The simulator uses 18 projectors to create a semi-spherical dome that measures 28 feet in diameter. The SIM 5R features SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) resolution and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. The SIM 5W features the same contrast ratio, but also comes with a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution.
