Epson is the number-one selling projector brand worldwide. Today, the company introduced their latest classroom model, the BrightLink 450Wi. This model features a native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, 2500 ANSI lumens, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. The more interesting aspect is that it is designed to mount directly to the wall. This positioning allows the presenter to get close to the board with out having to worry about having the light shine in their eyes. It also reduces the distracting shadows that typically occur while presenting. The 450Wi can create up to a 102’ screen and it can be calibrated to accommodate almost any classroom setup. Another key feature about the projector is the inclusion of dual light pens. These pens allow the presenter to not only highlight sections on the screen, but also allow them to interact with it as well. The connection panel comes with a wide selection of features including RGB, composite, s-video, USB, and several networking options. The projector can also be used with a wireless connection. Epson plans to release the BrightLink 450Wi this spring for about $2000.
