Sony VPL-BW7 Projector Review

The Sony VPL-BW7 is one of the latest projectors to join the Sony BRAVIA collection. This model features WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 2000 ANSI lumens. Recently, the writes from T-Break Tech got the opportunity to review this projector. One of the first things they noticed was that this projector is not the full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution that the other BRAVIA projectors. However, the lower resolution helps makes this projector affordable for those looking for a projector for their home theater. The color quality was very impressive and the contrast was equally good. The only major problem that the writers found was that it had difficulty handling fast action scenes from games and movies. However slower moving scenes were perfectly smooth and clean. The final verdict that the writers made was, ‘Like most projectors, dont expect the BW7 to work wonders during day time or in a room full of lights. But it’s works well for a quite evening at home with an 80 inch projection of your favorite movie.’
