Princeton Releases PPR-QT Projector
Over the past year we have seen a wide variety of pico projectors. Some of them are fairly powerful, compared to other pico projectors. Unfortunately the new Princeton PPR-QT is probably one of the weakest. The projector is only capable of displaying a 100:1 contrast ratio, and a 300 x 224 resolution. This resolution is what will prevent this projector from gaining any popularity, especially when most other units feature VGA (640 x 480) resolution or higher. To its credit though, the projector is one of the smallest and is completely square measuring 1.9’ in every direction. The projector also weighs only 120g (0.2 lbs). In addition, the projector is using ferroelectric liquid crystal on silicon (FLCoS) technology. Princeton has not released a date or price for the PPR-QT yet.
