Epson EH-TW5500 Projector Review

The Epson EH-TW5500 is one of the company’s newest home theater projectors. This model features 1600 ANSI lumens, a full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, and 200000:1 contrast ratio. Recently, the writers from Stuff got the opportunity to see what this projector can do. Right from the box, the writers note that the TW5500 is not the prettiest projector they have seen. The matt-black finish and bulky design does not makes projector look to appealing. They even note that the projector looks like an overgrown business projector. But they also note that it’s not what the projector looks like that makes it great, it’s how well the projector performs. After a quick setup, the writers first notice the new iris system, which helps contribute the 2000000:1 contrast ratio. This system makes some of the best contrast that the writers have seen. They also liked the projector’s ability to display color, and noted that the image displayed high-impact saturations with subtle blends and natural tones. In the end, the final thought was, ‘Epson’s flagship projector proves in no uncertain terms that LCD fully deserves a seat at the high-end home cinema table.’
