Globalstor Data Corporation is a premier OEM integrator of high-performance RAID, SAN and storage/video servers. Today, the company is proud to announce that they recently received approval from JVC to use their DLA-SH4K projector in order to integrate it with their ExtremeStor-4K video storage and playback workstation. This workstation is commonly used for screening rooms in order to give directors a look at what the movie will look like before it goes into theaters. The ExtremeStor-4K is specifically designed for 4K film footage and has been used for several studios that use the very popular RED 4K camera. The JVC DLA-SH4K features 3500 ANSI lumens, a 10000:1 contrast ratio, and a 4K HD (4096 x 2160) resolution. ‘After seeing the Globalstor ExtremeStor-4K’s performance at SIGGRAPH and the 3D Summit, JVC felt it was a natural fit for the DLA-SH4K projector,’ says David Walton, assistant vice president for marketing communications at JVC. ‘Its ability to process in real time the extremely graphics-intensive resolutions of today’s acquisition formats will help JVC continue to push forward its mission of allowing industry professionals to experience the next step of visualization solutions for DI production and post. We’re happy to certify the ExtremeStor-4K for use with the DLA-SH4K.’
