Winner of the Cando Design awards, the ‘Icon MINI PC’ by Iranian designer Kiomars Nezhadi is one of the smallest but functional PCs that present a leaf shaped sleek appearance. This highly technical and portable unit uses a Micro ATX main board with most of the parts onboard, maintaining its relatively small size (227 mm height and 294 mm width). The system uses heat pipes to cool the processor, graphic chips and projector without creating any noise from the fans. The attractive aspect of the design is its rotational touchscreen monitor placed on its main part, which is further equipped with audio and USB ports and a detachable hard disk.

It also features a video projector of a small size, a heat sink, two slots with wider one allocated to the CD/DVD and the other one allowing access to the memory card reader. The upper surface of the MINI PC’s main part features the Mini PC’s power button, video projector’s power button, video projector’s setting button and DVD’s eject button. The lower surface acts as an opening for installing the main unit on the basic unit, for recharging the main unit and for using the video projector with other built-in features of the base unit. Also, the power input and monitor output are positioned at the bottom of the base unit with a wire holder serving convenience in carrying. The entire unit is safely packed in a hi-tech case with a reliable stand enclosing a place defined for keeping CDs and other stuff.
