Sanyo Announces New Projectors at ISTE 2010
Sanyo is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of LCD and DLP projectors. Today, the company announced a new initiative to help education by developing new products that focus on classrooms and advancing the technology using in education. Some of the new products include new projectors that feature 3D capabilities and short throw lenses. The PDG-DWL2500 and DPG-DXL2000 were recently announced and both come with 2500 ANSI lumens and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. The short throw distance allows the projectors to be mounted on the same wall that the screen is. This allows the presenter to give their lesson with out worrying about having the light in their eyes or distracting shadows. Sanyo also announced that they will have shortly new wall mounted projector mounts for these projectors. However the model names were not listed. In addition, Sanyo also announced five new projectors that will be coming soon. All of these models will feature a new Wide aspect ratio due to the growing trend of widescreen projectors in the educational field. The PLC-HF10000, PDG-DHT8000L, PLC-WM5500 and PLC-WM4500 are designed more for large venues like auditoriums and lecture halls. The PDG-WL2500 will be designed to join the short throw distance projectors, but still have the widescreen aspect ratio. You can see all of these projectors first hand at the ISTE show this week.
