Runco Launches Q-750i and Q-750d Projectors

Q-750d

Runco has been a steadfast leader in luxury video solutions for more than 20 years. Today, the company has launched their new Quantum Color series, which marks the company’s first set of LED projectors. The Q-750i and Q-750d are very similar in that they both display 700 ANSI lumens, a 10000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The major difference between the two models is that the 750d comes with an external video controller. This controller houses all of the projector’s connections and can be used to control the viewing settings. The processor connects to the projector via HDMI cable, which allows the user to easily control the projector even if it is mounted on the ceiling. These two projectors have reached a new height in LED technology by being able to produce the 700 ANSI lumens. ‘LED-based projection is incredibly complex and Runco has significantly invested to lead in this category,’ stated Runco CEO Gerry Perkel. ‘QuantumColor is a revolutionary solution that maximizes LED performance and offers a never-before-seen color gamut. But, having these features is only part of the magic. To make this a revolutionary new platform, Runco created proprietary technologies that harness the impressive color gamut to create images that are nothing short of stunning.’ Both projectors are now available through the company’s website and retail for $14995 and $17995, respectively.

DLA-RS4000_a1

JVC has recently announced the newest home theater projector that will be joining their product line in October. The DLA-RS4000 will easily stand above the rest, but that is because it comes with a native 4K HD (4096 x 2400) resolution. The projector is also incredibly bright with 3500 ANSI lumens and a 10000:1 contrast ratio. This model also comes with a variety of services that you normally only find on large venue models like instant email notification and 3D capabilities. One of the major concerns about this product is that it weighs at leave 110 pounds, which will make it very difficult to mount to a ceiling. Also the $175000 asking price ensures that only the very serious home theater fanatics will be able to purchase this projector. ‘The DLA-RS4000 4K projector is the ultimate projector for discerning home theater enthusiasts,’ said Jack Faiman, vice president, Visual Systems Division, JVC U.S.A..
